School Uniform

The heart of the AWS uniform is all about fostering a strong sense of loyalty and unity within our school community. . We’re equals at school, and while individuality is valued, modifying the uniform is something we don’t accept. Any changes or adjustments to the uniform are not allowed. Wearing the school uniform is a key way to encourage positive behavior and discipline among our students. Whether you’re at school or out representing AWS, putting on the uniform is a way of showing that we’re all part of the same team and family.

Students while in school uniform outside the school premises should conduct themselves appropriately. Disciplinary actions will apply for acts of misconduct while wearing school uniform. We expect our students to uphold the values and standards of our school even beyond its premises.

There are two types of uniforms:

  1. Formals : 

For girls: Comfort yellow shirt, Poplin gray skirt, Black tie, Yellow socks and black formal shoes 

For boys : Comfort yellow shirt, Poplin gray trousers, Black tie, Yellow socks and black formal shoes

  1. Informals 

For girls: Yellow Pique T-shirt, Poplin gray skirt, Yellow socks and black sports shoes

For boys: Yellow Pique T-shirt, Poplin gray trousers, Yellow socks and black sports shoes  

To be worn on:

Informals – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 

Formals – Wednesday

 

Violation of Uniform Rules

In the first instance, the student will be allowed to correct the problem. The student can call their parents to get the proper uniform to school to change. Refusal to cooperate and recurrent defiance may result in further disciplinary measures and sanctions.

1st Warning: If the student is held for uniform violation for the first time, a verbal warning will be given to the student.

2nd Warning: If the student is held for uniform violation for the second time, a written complaint will be sent to the parents of the student.

3rd Warning: If the student is held for uniform violation for the third time, a telephonic complaint will be sent to the parents of the student.

Final step: If the student is held in violation of uniform rules for the fourth time, parents will be asked to take their ward home. Students will have to stay at home at the loss of their attendance to reflect on their behaviour and submit it in writing to the Principal.
