School Uniform

The core of the AWS uniform policy is to develop and maintain a sense of loyalty and belonging to the school, therefore any addition or modification to the school uniform is strictly prohibited. Uniforms are a crucial method in promoting good behaviour and discipline among the student body. The school uniform should be worn when attending school and representing the school at functions outside school.

Students while in school uniform outside the school premises should conduct themselves appropriately. Disciplinary actions will apply for acts of misconduct while wearing school uniform. 

Uniform to be worn on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:
Blue denim, blue T-shirt, blue socks, black belt and black sports shoes. 

Uniform to be worn on Wednesday: 
Beige trouser for boys / beige skirt for girls, blue shirt, blue socks, black formal belt and black formal shoes. 

SCHOOL UNIFORM RULES

  1. All students are required to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is strictly not allowed.
    2. Wrinkled school uniforms should not be worn to school, it must be ironed properly.
    3. All students wearing the school uniform are to ensure that their shirts are tucked in at all times.
    4. Students may not attend classes in the wrong uniform. 

Violation of Uniform Rules

In the first instance, the student will be allowed to correct the problem. The student can call their parents to get the proper uniform to school to change. Refusal to cooperate and recurrent defiance may result in further disciplinary measures and sanctions. 

1st Warning: If the student is held for uniform violation for the first time, a verbal warning will be given to the student. 

2nd Warning: If the student is held for uniform violation for the second time, a written complaint will be sent to the parents of the student. 

3rd Warning: If the student is held for uniform violation for the third time, a telephonic complaint will be sent to the parents of the student. 

Final step: If the student is held in violation of uniform rules for the fourth time, parents will be asked to take their ward home. Students will have to stay at home at the loss of their attendance to reflect on their behaviour and submit it in writing to the Principal.
