Kalithattu is a community outreach initiative by Asoka World School, inaugurated by Mr. Hibi Eden, MP, to nurture reading habits among children across schools. As part of this program, Asoka opened its Knowledge Center Library — a collection of over 4,000 books — offering free access to students from neighboring schools. (Featured in The Times of India)
During the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of independence, Asoka students proudly participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. On Global Handwashing Day, in collaboration with Hael Pharma, Ernakulam and Parayil Residence Association, Kochi, Asoka organized an interactive hygiene awareness campaign.
Students learned the importance of preventive healthcare and created a handwashing awareness video to promote cleanliness among peers.
In celebration of International Girl Child Day, Asoka hosted an Interschool Slam Poetry Competition — providing a platform for students to express their thoughts on equality, empowerment, and expression through art and words.
To combat the growing menace of substance abuse, Asoka launched the “Drugs Venda Bro” campaign, inaugurated by the District Collector of Ernakulam. Later, at Kochi Metro Station, the initiative was led by Mr. Loknath Behra, raising awareness through the distribution of badges, stickers, and public interactions. Thousands joined hands to spread the message: Say No to Drugs.
