Before joining Asoka World School, Adheena Mariam built her career in the corporate world as a psychologist, where she worked extensively with professionals and organizations to enhance learning, leadership, and workplace well-being. Her experience in understanding human behavior and motivation gave her a unique perspective on how learning environments shape not just skills, but also confidence, creativity, and character.
Carrying this insight into education, Adheena transitioned into her role at Asoka with a vision to create a school experience that prepares children for life—not just academics. It was under her initiative that Asoka introduced Ambidextrous Learning—a distinctive approach that balances logic and creativity, analytical thinking and artistic expression, structure and flexibility. This framework has become a hallmark of Asoka’s philosophy, ensuring that every child develops both sides of the brain and grows into a well-rounded learner.
As Director of Enrollment and Student Initiatives, she works closely with parents, teachers, and students, ensuring that Asoka is a place where learning is personal, purposeful, and future-focused. Her blend of corporate expertise and educational innovation continues to shape the school’s culture, making it a space where children thrive with curiosity, resilience, and global perspective.
With over 37 years of distinguished service in India and the UAE, she brings extensive expertise to her role as Director of Academic and Operational Excellence. She holds a Doctorate in English Literature and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, along with certifications as an ABACUS and Vedic Mathematics Trainer, reflecting both academic depth and pedagogical versatility.
Her professional journey is marked by a strong focus on modern teaching methodologies and 21st-century learning skills, enabling her to design and implement strategies that enhance both teaching effectiveness and student achievement. Recognized for her ability to align innovative practices with institutional goals, she ensures that educational outcomes remain relevant, rigorous, and impactful.
