The middle school programme at AWS involves students from Classes VI to VIII. The curriculum offered is in an accumulative format aimed at providing an innovative and learner-centric experience with a competitive edge. Keeping in mind that these years are a time of great physical, mental, and social development, we ensure that activities are designed to meet the developmental needs of students as well as build strong concepts.

During the middle school years, students have the opportunity to become involved in many cultural and sports activities. These activities help build strong friendships and teach students the valuable lessons of teamwork and sportsmanship. There will be a fluid integration between curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular or academic and physical education/art, etc. 

Academic achievement, social interaction, acquisition of life skills are all goals of middle school students. A sound technology-enabled programme of educational choices complemented by competent faculty and a positive learning environment help students achieve these goals for themselves.  

SubjectsEnglish, Hindi/French, Malayalam, Maths, Science, Social Science & Computer Science.Art Education, Work Education and Physical Health and Education will be a part of the internal assessment. 

General Knowledge, Health Education, Life Skills/SEWA, Value Education, Media Education, STEM education, Coding, Financial Literacy, ABCM and basic Astronomy will be transacted through co-curricular activities to develop 21st-century skills and gain the confidence to step into society.  

We follow the 3 language formula for as per guidelines from the Education Department at the elementary level. Languages offered are English (compulsory), Malayalam & Hindi/French

Assessment: Students of classes VI-VIII will be assessed as prescribed by the uniform system of assessment prescribed by the CBSE. The term exam will be for 80 marks and 20 marks will be provided for internal assessment. Grading for co-scholastic areas will be on a 3 point scale. Students will be evaluated by periodic assessment, multiple assessments, practicals, records, projects, portfolio, notebook upkeep, subject enrichment, class tests and term-end exams in a given academic year.
