Clubs and Extracurricular Activities

Clubs

Clubs in school provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and foster a sense of community and teamwork beyond the classroom. Meets every Monday afternoon.

Eco Club: Engaging students in environmental conservation projects, gardening, and sustainability initiatives.
Math Club: Sharpening problem-solving skills through puzzles, math games, and competitive mathematics.
Quiz Club: Enhancing general knowledge and quick thinking with quiz competitions and trivia sessions.
Media Club: Exploring the world of digital content creation, photography, video editing, and school news production.
Language Club: Promoting linguistic skills and cultural understanding through language learning activities, debates, and literature appreciation.
Techno Club: Hands-on experiences in hardware exploration and 3D modeling, fostering innovation and practical problem-solving.
Road Safety Club : aims to create awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among students regarding road safety through various sessions and interactive programs

STEM Programmes

At Asoka World School, we emphasize learning by doing, which is why every class has a mandatory STEM hour each week to engage students in hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities.

Routines – A Unique Endeavour

Routines’ is a unique sequence of daily routines the school has established to enhance the learning environment through the active engagement of students.

Social Initiatives

The school is renowned for various community outreach activities it organizes. Some of them are given below.

Kalithattu – Asoka World School has initiated a kids’ collective named Kalithattu. It is a community outreach program inaugurated by Mr, Hibi Eden, MP aimed at nurturing reading skills among school children across various schools. As part of the program, the school has enabled free access to its knowledge center library, which has a collection of more than 4000 books. (The Times of India)

Hoisting of the biggest national flag – Students of the school joined the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a Government of India Initiative to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence by participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. As part of it, the students hoisted the biggest national flag with a length of 13.5 m and a height of 9 m in Kerala, marking the 75th Indian Independence Day. ( The New Indian Express &The Print).

Awareness program on hygiene – On Global Handwashing Day, the school in collaboration with Hael Pharma, Ernakulam, and Parayil Residence Association, Kochi, conducted an awareness program for students on hygiene and preventive measures. The school also created a handwashing awareness video.

Interschool Slam Poetry Competition – To celebrate International Girl Child Day, the school hosted an interschool Slam Poetry Competition.

Drugs Venda Bro – To combat the menace of drug addiction, the school organized a campaign named ‘Drugs Venda Bro’ which was inaugurated by the district collector of Ernakulum. Further, the campaign at the Kochi Metro Station was led by Mr.Loknath Behra. As part of the campaign, the school distributed thousands of badges and stickers to raise awareness against drug addiction.
