Adarsh Kavungal, is a staunch advocate of technology-based education, workspaces and people management. His charming personality and influential speeches during various educational conferences, seminars, workshops and other social/cultural/charitable events have been to a large extent successful in carrying his message across our community. This very eloquence made him the most sought-after host and organiser of high profile educational and social conferences. The exposure he received through his own education, as well as the varied socio-cultural interests he possesses, has aided in shaping several innovative programs that help integrate arts and STEM subjects. He completed his bachelor’s in commerce from Dr G R Damodaran College Of Science, Coimbatore and MBM- Masters in Business Management, Strathclyde University, Glasgow, UK.

Our school under his sole leadership is undergoing a huge makeover to reinvent itself with the desire and objective to increase the number of schools under its wings and expand our presence to all parts of the state and to promote various further education courses for the benefit of the community. AWS is the dream and product of perseverance on the part of our General Secretary, Mr Adarsh Kavungal. It is his personal motto of ‘Grit to Glory’ that has led to birth of AWS.

Ex-State Organizing Secretary| Kerala CBSE Schools Managements Association

Adarsh Kavungal joined in 2009 as the youngest Organizing Secretary in the history of the Association which includes 700+ schools as its members. There were only 60 members when he joined, which he successfully raised to 250 members through his influential negotiations on the benefits of unity for private managements. He was actively involved in conducting Youth Festivals for member schools annually, with as many as 8000+ students participating each year. His other responsibilities included Teacher and Management Training programs, increasing School Memberships, Partnerships with third-party organisations, Common Legal Recourse, etc. are other activities performed by him. He also represented the Private schools and Association in the 2011 Lida Commission, Government of Kerala which was constituted for a formulation of Educational Policy and implementation of Right to Education Act (India) in the State of Kerala.

Ex-Vice Chairman|IGBC-Kochi Metro Rail: Green-a-thon

Adarsh Kavungal was one of the founding members of Indian Green Building Council, Kochi Chapter and has been an active member of the organisation. He has conducted state-wide environment-centric competitions, campaigns, rallies, school level painting and college level debates to promote awareness amongst children about green living. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the IGBC- Kochi Metro Rail Green-a-thon: Walk-a-thon and Cycle-a-thon organized by the Kochi Metro Rail Corporation and IGBC, Kochi Chapter. 3000+ people and 250 Cyclists participate in the event to promote Green living.

Board Member| Rotary Club of Cochin Midtown

Adarsh Kavungal was a member of the Rotary Club of Cochin Midtown with responsibilities in the areas of Rotary International Priorities, Community Service, Youth Empowerment and Public Relations. He was the Chairman of the LMC School Renovation Project – a 116-year-old Kindergarten and Elementary school for the poor, in a 360-year-old heritage building. He was able to raise funds from India and abroad (US and UK) to renovate the classrooms, build toilets, school kitchen and provide school supplies for the little children.

He dreams of a new-age, technology-driven Kerala with a qualitative change in educational practices which would lead to a more logical, just and equal society. He stands for a hybrid model which will be instrumental in providing quality education, while ensuring that the younger generation is at par with global standards.
